Nora McGann, MSW LGSW

Currently accepting new clients.

Therapy with me is a time to slow down, catch your breath, and tune inward. My approach is rooted in depth psychology, attachment theory, and EMDR.

Pronouns: She/Her

My approach: Are you feeling stuck? Do things look ok from the outside, but you feel unfulfilled? My approach is rooted in depth psychology, meaning that I prioritize the unconscious; somatics, meaning that trauma lives in the body and I believe there is no such thing as insight at the intellectual level; and feminist theory, meaning that I believe that what is happening at the level of the individual (you) is a reflection of the dynamics of your small group (your family of origin). Perhaps most importantly, I adopt a relational approach, and I believe we can understand human behavior through attachment and connection.

I'll help you explore the unconscious, gain awareness into your patterns, treat yourself with compassion, and ultimately develop healthier connections.

Type of therapy: Depth psychology, attachment theory, EMDR. I have a particular interest in Jungian Psychology (learn more about Jung here).

Degree: Master of Social Work, University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Clients I treat: I work with individuals 18+.

Concerns I treat: grief, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression

Appointment hours: I work Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday mornings 9am-1pm

I am a pre-licensed therapist, and I work under the supervision of Maria Wetli, MSW LICSW.

In-network insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners

About Me: In my free time, I enjoy running, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

If you think we are a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
